Many of us are familiar with the RAF Red Arrows Display Team in their matching red flying suits but here they are dressed in their more formal attire. The Sunday Times commissioned me and used this yesterday as English shoe manufacturer Grenson have designed and supplied unique footwear for the team incorporating two red Hawks in the sole. The shot used by the Sunday Times was of the team stood by a Hawk and sat on wings. I rather like the one below. While I was getting into position I noticed how they were standing and managed to keep them like that before they formed a tidy line. The shot of them below this is them practising over RAF Scampton in Lincs. As a Lincolnshire photographer it was taken close to my home and they are a regular sight and sound here. Below that is another Sunday Times job, the first female pilot in the Reds, Kirsty Moore. Finally, for the sheer hell of it the last shot is of me having a ride in a Hawk whilst photographing RAF Tornadoes some years ago courtesy of No 100 Squadron at RAF Leeming.
